Quick question that someone may already know.

Let's say you ordered a regular T61 14.1" widescreen with an a/b/g WiFi card. Do you think Lenovo has standardized all new Thinkpads with integrated 3 WiFi antennas? i.e., making it easier for us to upgrade to the a/b/g/n WiFi cards? I would've gotten the abgn card, but it wasn't an option.

    thanks

I think it's two antennas for the ABG option, but the Intel 4965ABGN has three antennas for the newer chipset.

I can tell you this, when you go into the applett you have to choose 2.4ghz OR 5ghz. It says you can't have both active at the same time. I don't have a n router so I can't test it further.

Should be easy to tell for anyone with just ABG, look at the wireless card and see if there is an extra wire connector hanging around nearby not plugged in.

As an antenna is "cheap" and its easier to make all the lids the same my guess is they are all there and only the card is configured while being built, but I have no idea.
