I don't seem to remember anyone discussing this problem yet... But I apologize if it's one of the known issues. I just discovered it on my laptop.

If I close the screen, there is a lump on the top. Left hand side, about mid way front to back.

    x x
x xxxx x <--- top of notebook, lump area is x's.

If I use a ruler or flat and move it along the top, it's very noticeable. I'd say the lump protrudes 2 - 3 mm above the top.

Anybody else find this? Again, sorry if this has already been asked.

EDIT: Seems I can't draw little pictures with x's... ignore that. :)

It's not so much a lump, more like a bubble in the plastic. When I run my hand over the lid it doesn't feel completely flat.

If I place a ruler on it's edge and place it on the lid, I have maybe a 2 - 3 mm gap at each end indicating the top is bubbled out a bit. It almost feels the plastic has deformed from excess heat or something...

    Anybody else have this?

Also... I noticed when I turn the volume up to max, when windows boots, it makes a sound like one of the speakers is blown. The kind of high pitched vibration you hear when a tweeter blows. <--- Anybody notice this?

I've noticed the lump. Mine has it too. Didn't think much of it.

Not sure about the speaker sound while rebooting.

You guys really need to do some research. Lenovoblogs had an article about why this was done deliberately. I'm not even going to bother finding it for you guys.
