    I just wanted to be sure that I'm purchasing the right type of memory, and that I won't have any conflicts...

    Theh laptop shipped with one stick of 1gb, pc2-5300. I'm picking up another stick of the same thing, but i don't know what brand shipped with the computer, or anything else I need to know when Im installing another stick. This is what I want to pick up:

    Crucial makes good RAM and you cant go wrong.

    You could open it up and see what's in there already since you are going to have to do when you upgrade it anyway. The service manual located on Lenovo's site will explain how to do it.
