I'm looking at used T61's and want SDHC support. Does the T61 factory supplied with the 4 in 1 card reader support SDHC?
Also, I intend to install 4GB DDR2 and Windows 7 64bit Ultimate. Is there a driver for the card reader that will support SDHC? Are there any other issues I should be aware of regarding my Windows 7 64bit Ultimate plans for this machine? Can I get a version of Thinkvantage and software to support the optical drive? TIA...

Thinkwiki says it's not SDHC. Looks like only the newest models support SDHC.
I use Win7 64 bit and nothing seems to be a problem, no problem with drivers or Thinkvantage or whatnot. I don't know what you mean by software to support the optical drive. My optical drive works fine. -
T61 supports SDHC, i use 8 gigs SD card in Vista OS.

Oh. Then Thinkwiki must be wrong or something.

that thread must be written by OP whom used a T61 with XP OS, it was nearly impossible to get the T61 (15.4 inch and 14.1 inch widescreen) card reader to work with the SDHC cards (it worked flawlessly with the normal SD cards). So i guess the person whom started the thread thought the card reader doesn't support SDHC card.

I have the machine now and it does accept my 8GB SDHC card. What other cards will work in it? It's a T61, built in card reader.

Bump.......
