    T61 7 Cell battery charges slowly

    I have a T61 with a 90w power supply. I also have the 7 cell battery. It takes forever to charge the battery. I am only on the 5th cycle. At 75% fully charged, it says it needs 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the charging. That is much longer then any other laptop I have had. Is this normal, or is the charge taking longer then it should.

    If I was to charge an empty battery it would take over 5 hours.

    Any ideas on why the charge is so slow would be appreciated, thanks.

    Yep, it's hellishly slow.

    I have a 65W supply, and it takes a lot of time.. like 4-5 hours for a full charge. I was hoping that if I get a higher-watt supply, it'd be faster.. but looks like not. :(

    4-5 hours for a full charge!? My Dell X1 charged in 40 minutes (when Off) and ran for 4 hours straight...

    It seems that there are some serious problems with those T61's...

    If I go to battery information with it plugged in.

    Remaining percentage: 86%
    Time to charge: 1:30 hours
    Voltage: ~12.45 V, Design Voltage: 10.80V
    wattage: 11.50 - 12.75 W (seems to vary)
    Current: ~1 A

    How long does it take to charge the 9 cell on the 15.4 T61?
