    Hi guys,

Does anyone know where I could find more info ( tests ... ) on the 14.1" SXGA+T61 battery life when it's equipped with a Perynn chip, Intel GMA X3100 integrated and a 9cell battery ? I would like to confirm if I can get over 5 hours of autonomy on such a setup.

    Thanks

one can achieve 4-5 hrs with the same settings with a 140m, so u should definitly get 6hrs under light/normal use.
    Google for the tabook.

I thought the 14" T61 cannot use 9 cell? Lenovo only ever offered it with a 7 cell at most. The 4:3 T61 used 9 cell but they are discontinued.

They can, and yes they are discontinued but you can still get them if you look hard enough.

This is what I got from the TABook for a config as similar as possible to the one I specified :

And I found this in another thread :

Conflicting replies. Why 4 instead of the suggested 6 ? Are you thiking full brightness and network usage, playing music and everything ?

I'll be using office production software and software developement tools so ...nothing too demanding I think.

    I get 4.5 hours on my T60p (9 cell, 2.0Ghz Core Duo / 2GB / 7200RPM / 15" / ATI V5200). So you should do just fine on battery life.

My brother has the T61 standard screen with 9 cell battery, T8300, intel wifi, intel gfx, 2gb ram and 160 gig 5400rpm drive

he gets at least 5 hours and almost 6 if he puts in on extreme power savings mode

    his model/make is 8897
