T61 Advanced Ultrabay Battery

Does anyone know if the T61 supports the Ultrabay battery?

The product description only says T60,R60,X60 and etc, yet comes up when I search for the 7658CT (T61 model number) under accessories. They also list a 6 cell T60 battery. I would kind of like to know if that also works. I need the extra battery life for long trips, and went with the 4 cell at the time (probably a mistake on my part). Any help would be great.

I would call in before ordering.

It is an option on the T61 order page (when buying the laptop), but always better to be safe than sorry.

Yes, it shows up in the accesoiries list of the T61.

The 40Y6789 Ultrabay Battery is indeed compatible with the T61.

The old T60 mainbatteries are however not compatible with T61.
