    T61 running Vista.

This problem started about a month ago. I hibernate (or sleep) the machine. When I resume it initially appears that all is well. Any program open on the screen works. But If I select a program off the QuckLaunch bar or from the Start menu nothing happens. And if I click Start and try to resume or shut down, those options don't show when I place my cursor on the right arrow that normally brings up those options. I have to use CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up the restart options.

    Any suggestions?

    Dave

nothing here, but hibernate-wake up takes longer in my T400 running Vista than shutdown-reboot

It is slow, the hibernate-wake up, but a shutdown-reboot is much longer for me. And if I'm in the midst of a project with several windows open I'd rather be able to hibernate and start right back where I left off.

It's at version 2.24. I have updated it already a couple times with no luck, but obviously haven't in a while. I see that 2.25 is available now, maybe I'll give that a try.

I replaced Windows OneCare with Norton Internet Security 2009. I can't definitely state that solved the problem, but I haven't had the problem since then.

    I have BIOS 2.24.
