Well i thought i remember someone saying its just useless at this point because intel has released good drivers for it so..it might be worth keeping if you got one like i am doing..

Actually it sounds more like a Vista issue, rather than Intel, since MS hasn't made its OS capable of recognizing what files should be preloaded in the Turbo Memory.
It remains to be seen if MS will fix it with Vista SP1.
And even if they do, there would be other issues to deal with, like "tunnelling-induced leakage" that will quckly wear the flash memory out if it's being used continuously.

Actually, do not blame the OS here. Vista's turbocache and readyboost work fine with other memory devices and systems.

Intel is just needing to play with the drivers a bit (what company doesnt these days anyways?)

Actually I heard the opposite. My T42 speakers aren't bad for laptop speakers, I can hear them well across the room as I blast music while in hotels for business trips. I read a review on the T61 that said the speakers were along the same lines...

It's not me who blames Vista for the broken Turbo Memory support.
    SONY is!

"If Microsoft can't prove Sony's allegations incorrect, the company could end up in court over claims of deceptive marketing."

Vista May Not Actually Support Turbo Memory

"Microsoft responded to Sony's claims by saying Vista supported ReadyBoost and ReadyDrive, but stopped short of explicitly claiming it supported Turbo Memory."

Sony rejects Turbo Memory over Vista concerns

I could care less about sony to be honest...they steal things from tons of people and then pay their way out of it. Now they think they will falsly acuse MS? Not really fair IMO. As MS has said they support Readyboost and Readydrive but NOT Turbo Memory. Turbo Memory is created by intel and supports Vista through the use of drivers...it is not a MS built in feature.

So, it is all Sony's fault now?
And Turbo Memory works as advertized?
And HP is a part of conspiracy also?

    No No and No.

All I am saying is MS makes Readyboost and it works perfectly with USB Flash Drives as it was intended. Intel builds upon this and creates Turbo Memory without MS's help and it does not work as good as it should. Then we blame MS???

Does that not seem backwards to anyone? Intel makes something that does not work so we blame MS. That is like if HP makes a printer that BSODs on Vista and we blame MS for supporting printers and it not working even though HP made a faulty printer that does not work correctly with Vista.

Yes, I do understand all that.
But the remaining question still is what are the reasons behind Sony's accusations?
I doubt it's all based on sand.
