To make a long story short, I recently got my T61 15' 6465CTO and didn't find it fast enough.

I made a backup with the ThinkVantage Productivity Center and later made another one with Windows(start-programs-accessories-system tools). Now I only have 100 gb of the 140 gb of hard drive available on SW_Preload C. Should I delete one of the backups?

    Taken from the sticky:
Could anyone elaborate a little more on how to do a clean install from rescue and recovery?

Thanks a lot for your help.

you should try a clean install without R&R. this will give you the best results.

I really don't think I can pull it off in a reasonable amount of time and I really have a lot to do. I am just not very knowledgeable when it comes to this.

Hit the blue button upon boot up as if you were performing a factory restore. I've done this once a long time ago, but explore the options until you find one called "Custom Install". Select this option and follow the instructions.

    Good luck.
