    1. My bluetooth just doesn't work. The laptop is brand new and not touched yet. And I am certain that in the first activation it worked, yet now the light is off and the bluetooth icon on the windows bar says it can't find any devices. Device manager says all is well, yet it isn't. Ideas? (Radio communication is on btw)

    2. I failed to setup an Ethernet network between the laptop and my desktop pc. I turned off any firewall or antivirus and run the windows network creation wizard, yet nothing happens. The wizard doesn't even create an icon or anything. Plus the network icon in the windows bar says I have limited or no connectivity. Help? (needles to say, the windows help did not help at all)

Not sure on the bluetooth, but for the ethernet, can you give a quick diagram of how you've connected the devices? Laptop -> router/switch -> desktop?

Nope, just direct laptop to desktop with an Ethernet cable.

you need a crossover cable. a standard cable will not work. also you need to assign IP addresses to each machine.

Ok, thanks. I will get a crossover cable tomorrow. How do I assign IP addresses? Should it not be automatic? [Sorry for noobishness]

Hi again. I got a crossover cable, and figured out the bluetooth problem (Fn+F5 D'oh..). Now all I need is to setup IP addresses.
