Okay, so I've been looking at the threads about bsod problem with the T61 but I can't figure out the problem with my laptop.

So everytime I turn on my laptop, it would BSOD about after 5 minutes of use. After it restarts everything is normal, and I can use it for as long as I want until I shut the machine off, wait about 20-30 minutes and if I turn it on again it would go through the exact same thing again. Every single BSOD has a different problem listed, like MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, BAD_POOL_HEADER, and some other ones which I didn't manage to write down. The error message just seems to be random, I've called lenovo about it but they've been no help so far. I've updated the latest turbo memory driver too.

So I got the T61 about a year and half ago, and for about a year my brother was using it. He also had this problem but he didn't care or worry about it much.

Oh I was also wondering if anyone knows how to get hair out of the lcd screen. I don't know how it got in there but theres like this random piece of hair in the middle of the screen.

    Any takes on this?

Im loss are you saying that ok you turn on your computer, use it for like 5 mins then BSOD

And then you restart and everything works like forever you can sue it for 10 days straight no issues and then you shut it down

restart, and then after you turn it on 10-20 mins, BSODs?

Are your problems getting progressively worse?

Anyways have you tried running memtest?

It's exactly as you say. Basically what I do is I turn my laptop off at home, take it to class, which is like 10 minutes away. Turn it on there, and it'll BSOD about 5 minutes in. The problem's always been like this.

And no, I haven't run memtest before... is it the hting that pops up first thing when you search it on google? memtest.org?

umm your RAM might have issues

do you know how to boot off a CD/USB?

if so, burn this image to a cd or I think you can run it with daemon tools

    http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

and yes your link was correct

Basically it will check your RAM for issues, let it run through 2-3 passes, 3 passes should be enough to find basically everything. If there are any problems, get new RAM. This might take a while by the way.

I think Equility is giving you good advice. Your crash dumps give some kind of memory error. It's either that or reload the OS.

It just crashes by itself, and yes, it passed through three passes. As for reloading the OS... I think I've done it at least 4 times in the last 3 weeks. Sigh, oh well, I'll copy down what it says next time and post it up here.

I came to the forum to post a question on my BSOD problem too and saw your thread. Why do Thinkpads have so many BSODs? I changed out my hard drive on my Mac and my Thinkpad(with Seagates DiscWizard=Acronis TrueImage) this week with 500GB Seagates. The Mac works perfectly, my Thinkpad crashes all the time. I'm on my third drive. Frustrating.

I get the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error consistently when playing Dawn of War on my T61, but only during online play, and usually only once. I can reboot and get through a few games just fine. Never happens during other apps, or during that app when not playing online.
