There are lots of reports of *new* MacBook Pros having high CPU temps when under full dual-core load: 85-95 degrees C, in fact.

I'm wondering if the T61, which supposedly has an improved cooling system compared to the T60, lives up to its billing. When people are looping videos to get full dual-core CPU load (100%), what are the typical core CPU temperatures, and fan speeds? Thank you.

The more replies, the better. I think I may ditch the MBP and get a T61 or T61p. I want to be sure. Thanks.

that's a positive report, although it did not test the additional heat from the GPU (you could fully load CPU+GPU by looping some hi-res videos).

anyone else? need more data :)

Could you also post where your located (i.e. approximate elevations). Colorado has no air, so things tend to run much hotter up here.
