    For all ThinkPad T61 owners, I’ve been hearing quite a few complaints about the T61 since its launch, and I just wanted to see how many owners on here are experiencing problems, and / or how many people’s T61’s are not living up to the ThinkPad name. I’ve read through quite a few posts and it seems like numerous people are disappointed with the T61.

    As an aside, if you have been experiencing problems with your T61, I’m wondering what you consider to be the cause of this recent epidemic of dissatisfaction and reliability issues.

    I’m only asking because I’m a student and I need to buy a new laptop for school, something that will last at least 4 years. I decided to get a ThinkPad and I was very steadfast in my belief that the ThinkPad series of notebooks were the premier notebooks in terms of reliability and build quality, however, after reading these forums for a few weeks, I’m having some serious second thoughts.

    May I fan Johnny's flame?

    Shoulda went multiple choice, because maybe someone had horrible customer service but loved the 61, or vice versa. Or both, yet still satisfied with 61 overall. Or neither and returned it for an entirely different reason. Your polling skills suck! j/k
