I got T61 with this option: DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer, Ultrabay Slim

After trying to order recordable DVD media, I realized that there are 2 formats available DVD- and DVD+ which may not be compatible. I am trying to find out what format is Lenovo DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer, Ultrabay Slim but have no success. Their site does not give any technical details.

    Anyone can help?

I have the T61 recorder and it records both. I can't think of an easy way to find out which are supported. I believe the RecordNow software will list them in before you try to burn the disk

Well I checked in the PC Doctor listing, it will show you as well.

Just do PC Doctor -> reports -> detailed device reports. And because PC Doctor is a piece of ****, I can't copy and paste the media supported. But it does have +/- for Dual Layer listed

You shouldn't have trouble with either. I would suggest using high quality media if you want good burns.
