Well i'm still looking for a all purpose laptop. I was wondering if the T61 could support upcoming games such as SCII, UT3, and Spore?

The 140m is roughly equivalent to the 7600 go card which is still a pretty decent card.

forget ScII if it means starcraft II

I run WarIII at 1400x900 and it lags

That's odd because even iBooks (yep, even older than Macbooks) can run WarIII without issue.

    Hello,

I have 14"(1440x900) T61 with T7300, 3GB ram, Quadro NVS140 and vista business. So far I've been playing GuildWars, some older version of Counter Strike and Quake 3 and everything is running really fine on high details (and max resolution).
Two days ago I bought new C&C Tiberium Wars, and on medium details in max. res, it's really O.K. Problems started when I changed all details to "highest" - I think high AA settings are too much for GPU.
I have also seen some reviews where people were playing F.E.A.R and had about 60 FPS on medium details , so I would say it's playable.

I think you would need a strong video card.

I don't under why these people say they can't run WcIII and similar type graphics games on the T61 with the quadro, i run mine with full graphics, and it's fast as hell...

For the newer games, just don't put it on full graphics and you should be fine.

My laptop that is 5 years old can play WC3 just fine. It's a Dell Inspiron 8200. Mobile Intel Pentium 4 2.20GHz, 512 MB of RAM, and Mobility Radeon 9000.

I can run W3 at 1400x1050 with medium effects on my old T41 (Radeon 9000). There's no way W3 doesn't run on these.

I think it depends on ppl

when first time I use the wireless mouse, I feel lag right away

but my friend doesn't feel it at all.

    get a software called Fraps

it will show how many fps you get

my understanding of no lag will be 50fps or above(when in battle)
