Hey there, I haven't seen this question asked before on the forum and I was really wondering how this would work...
I was thinking of replacing the 120gb 5400 rpm HD I got in my thinkpad with a seagate momentus 7200.2 160gb one (I am in canada so upgrading the HD at lenovo costs 480(!?) extra). I was wondering if the accelerometer and HD protection software would still work with this HD or if I would need to get one from IBM to have it work as it does on the 5400 rpm drive?

    Thanks for your time!

Thanks for the quick answer guys!
I had figured the same thing, however one of the reps at lenovo canada had me a bit worried saying "I don't think it will work blabla" and mentioned something with the drive's firmware... Anyways, thanks for clearing that up!
