I've been using the webcam with skype. It showed up from day 1 as a USB web camera so there wasn't any software or drivers for me to fiddle with. The problem is the exposure goes haywire after a few minutes of use even when the auto settings for exposure and brightness are turned off. Sometimes the picture goes completely dark and other times completely bright. I have to point the laptop at a bright or dark object for it to reset itself. It is almost as if the aperture has a mind of it's own. Does this sound like a software issue or perhaps a hardware one?

    Thanks,

    Paul
