I found similar threads in here about using Knoppix to rename the ianvstor.sys file in the System32/drivers folder to fix a turbo memory problem. However, when i use Knoppix 5.0 I can view all the files (that I can't in windows) but I don't have write access.

When I try to get write access it says "The remount command failed. Maybe there is another process accessing the filesystem currently."

In Knoppix 5.1.1 I don't even see the drive on the desktop. When I use the Konsole I get errors saying Windows wasn't shut down properly.

I heard 5.0 cannot write to NTFS, is that the problem? I'm new to Knoppix so it's a bit confusing. Thanks.
