I'm really thinking about switching my T61 for a X200 to get decent battery life and extra mobility, but I was wondering how the LCD screens compare on both.
Any input is appreciated as always![]()

I don't know about the T61 (I had a T40 previously) but the screen on my x200 is not great. It has bad color accuracy, colors are way too white and washed out, and very bad vertical viewing angles (horizontal angles are okay). This is not a problem for office work, but it is very bad if you try and play back any video.
I am hoping I just have a sub-par panel. I sent it in for service this morning and hope that the replacement will be better. I LOVE everything else about the x200 though. The DPI on the screen is good, the laptop is very fast, the x4500 is very good for an integrated GPU, battery life is great, and the keyboard is fantastic. -
I've never had the T61 but the screen on my X200 is great. No complaints whatsoever.
jonlumpkin: I'm sure there was something wrong with yours, good thing you're getting it replaced. -
Yeah ... I was expecting mixed experiences... Guess I'll have to see for myself
