I ordered a T61 on 3/31/08, and the estimated shipment time on Lenovo's site is 4/17/08. When do you think I'll get the machine, with two-day shipping, and how fast/slow Lenovo is, historically? I'm itching to have it already.

Yeah it sucks, but the waiting is the hardest part. They tend to be conservative with the shipping estimates, but if a part goes out of stock you'll wait. I try not too look as it just makes it worse.

Usually they seem to ship within 3-4 days but some are not so lucky (I hope you are lucky). Hopefully it ships tomorrow for you which will result in a 4 day shipping due to the weekend my guess (just a guess) you'll have your laptop by Monday.

BTW: post when you get it I want to check my guess later.

Today is Monday, April 7. Still "in process"...

It's been a week since I ordered it. Argh.

That's why you don't look or at least only do it once a week. It only makes it worse.

I know but I'm impatient...I suppose I could get back to music theory homework in the meanwhile.

That's not encouraging. That is a long time, that's for sure.

Does anyone have any idea why Lenovo is taking so long to ship their laptops? I've read a few threads with people complaining about long shipping delays already.

That is a long time. Your specs don't seem to be hard-to-get components. Strange.

    What are your computer's specs?

    Mine are the following:

15.4 inch WSXGA+ panel (1680*1050), T9300 processor, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB 7200 RPM hard drive, DVD burner, Intel 4965AGN, 1 GB Turbo Memory (probably a waste, oh well), Bluetooth, PC Card and Express Card slots, Vista Ultimate, and as an accessory, Lenovo's USB webcam.
