    Hey guys,

    I just want to confirm if Lenovo is going to release a new series of thinkpads? I've read many rumours online that the T61/p is the last model they're gonna release for the T series?! Could someone please clarify this? I am about to purchase a T61p laptop, however, if they're about to release a new series, I may just wait to see what IBM is gonna market next.

    I've never seen such a rumor. I'd be very surprised if they messed with such a successful formula.

    I would bet the next platform is going to hit around the end of Q1-2008.

    Yeah, I doubt they would cancel the T series.
    And if they did, they would only replace it with something better but having the same advantages, i.e. thin, light, very powerful, long battery, and durable.
    Something intended for those willing to pay a few extra bux for something durable,

    Well, it's rumor !!!
    The T series is simply what Thinkpad about. Cut the production??? That would be an idiotic move.
    Beside, the marketing job is now Lenovo's job, not IBM.
