I want to upgrade my motherboard/graphics card in my T61. How hard would it be to do this?

    Thanks!

You would not be able to do this upgrade. It would be very difficult since most of the parts are soldered together. It would be better to sell your laptop and buy something new if you really don't like a particular aspect about your laptop.

you would have to change out the whole system board (and possibly the heat sink to a copper one if you dont already have one)

you pretty much have to tear it down to the core. not impossible for a person to do. you can find tear down guides at lenovo.com under support

might be kind of expensive however

I could do it, but again I don't think it's worth the effort. Took it apart today to look inside and it would require a lot of effort and money.
