VGA supports up to 2048x1536. You will be fine, just do not try gaming at that resolution :D

Quadro 140M is an 8400 based part. If NVidia's newest video card has trouble driving a 24" LCD @ 1920x1200 or 1920x1080 over VGA, something is horribly horribly wrong. My T40 w/Radeon Mobility 9000 can do 1920x1080 and still software decode 1080p ;) I'm not sure about DVI though - can someone weigh in on maximum DVI(With dock) res?

Does the 140M come with DDR3 or DDR2 ram when shipped in a T61?

    GDDR3 if I'm not mistaken.

Hi guys, just received my T61 (7664-17u) and I'm having trouble having it drive my 24" Dell 2405 monitor via tha Analog connection. The maximum resolution showing in the Display properties (Nvidia and Windows) is 1600x1200 and it's unbearable to use my monitor at that resolution.

It seems like all signs point that this laptop is supposed to be able to drive a 1920x1200 resolution monitor!

I already have the latest Nvidia driver from Lenovo (7.15.11.0145).
Trying to update the Monitor driver hasn't helped (Windows keeps saying it has the best driver already installed).

Any tips to resolve this? Anyonw know how to manually add resolutions with Windows Vista?

Anyone know if the DVI port on the Docking station would be able to the resolution?

Thanks for the help in advance!!

Id be curious too... I can push 1680x in WSXGA+ fine on my 22" via DVI, but what about 1920x via DVI on a 24"?

Ok I confirm that my 24" Dell 2405 does work fine at 1920x1200 via VGA with my Thinkpad T61.
Now, I'm really interested in getting the dock *IF* it can output 1920x1200 as well.

Interesting to hear this, according to the Nvidia Specs ( http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro_nvs_notebook_techspecs.html), it's supposed to only go to 1600x1200.

Can anyone confirm having tried outputing 1920x1200 via DVI?!
If it works, I'm getting the dock pronto :)

I used a Latitude D820 with the Quadro NVS 120M and it drove my 24" Dell LCD without issue at 1920x1200 across VGA. I seriously doubt you'll have any issues.

Has anyone found the answer yet if you can do 1920x1200 via DVI.
We know VGA will be fine at that res, but what about DVI???
    I am using a 140M NVIDIA.
