The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    T61 Nvidia Update Messed Up?

    Just installed the new Nvidia update for T61 from the Thinkvantage system update. Doesn't seem to have updated Nvidia except to have gotten rid of the Nvidia control panel altogether.

    Anyone with similar experience?

    I re-installed it and it worked fine. Seems to have been some conflict between Windows Update's version of the Nvidia drivers and the Thinkvantage version. (Or rather both updates installing them).

    If anybody out there locks these forums, please lock this thread. Thanks.
