I would have searched to solve my problem, but that appears to be disabled right now?

I have a 14.1" Widescreen T61 and my external monitor is a Samsung 226BW, which runs native at 1680x1050. Unfortunately, the display settings via the Intel integrated graphics card (X3100) only go up to 1280x800.

The text on websites and around icons is fuzzy and the top of the screen is cutoff slightly.

How can I solve this issue? I am using the Samsung driver included with the monitor.

    Thanks!

FYI...using the VGA output current, as I don't have the dock yet.

Its fuzzy because of the resolution is not native for that monitor. That video should be able to do 1680x1050 just fine. I would update the drivers for the video card. (Monitor driver isn't necessary)

Also if your trying to use two monitors make sure you do a dual view versus clone. That way it won't be fixed to your laptop LCD's resolution.

I have tried the Presentation Director, but will look into it further.

The cable is brand new and is working completely fine with another laptop; thereby, ruling out the cable as an issue.

I am using the clone feature as I want to eventually close the lid on the laptop, put it in a dock, and use the external monitor only. Which setting should I use in this case?

    Thanks!
