    Hi;

    For the folks that have gotten their T61's(or other) Santa Rosa Chipset Laptops. How "Stable" is the platform?

    Vista is probably the bigger issue.

    Of course that's true, But what about the Chipset?
    More stable/less stable than its predecessor?

    I haven't heard anything myself though I haven't used a Santa Rosa notebook as of yet.

    Better worry about that graphics card too. There were heat problems on the early T60's. Now that the T60 is mature and the bugs are fixed, there's potentially many new bugs on the T61 platform. That's one good reason to pick a new T60 or X60 with XPP while you still can.

    Oh Bunny; I just ordered a T61-loaded...I couldn't help myself... :)
    But I did stay in a "Holiday Inn Express" last night and I do have my IBM T41 w/ Magnesium top and Titanium bottom, that has not had 1 hiccup in 3 years...I hope the T61 does'nt let me down...
