There’s a theory that many of T61s having (non-driver related) problems are the CTO models. From the posts here, I get the feeling that the reliability can vary drastically between systems. I have an OTS (Off-The-Shelf/pre-configured) T61 with no issues, so I had to ask:

Between the OTS & CTO owners, who’s had more problems?

We have both CTO and OTS models here. I use an X61CTO and a T61OTS with no problems with either. I suspect perhaps the early adopters of turbo memory were CTO models? Kind of the dog chasing the tail on this one. I doubt if there is a drastic difference between the two other then my theory that CTO models are early adopters of new tech?
