Hello everyone, I just get my T61. Pretty happy with the deliver time and service. One thing I feel a little bit silly is it has only one partition for whole hard drive. It comes with a hidden service partition for recovery the whole system. But I want my working drive has 3 to 4 partitions. How can I do that? I still need my Vista running on my machine, any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Wallace

You will need a partition manager such as Partition Magic or Acronis.

Partition magic doesn't work on Vista so you'll need Acronis :) There really is no reason to partition a hard drive these days, I would leave it all one big drive because there is no advantage at all to splitting it up, unless you're installing linux or some other operating system.

I like to keep my data on a separate drive. If I reinstall windows I don't have to mess with it.

Yah, that's what I want to do. Partition it, install OS, then clone OS drive.

    Thanks,
