    do current brands still do this?

    maybe they said it was a flaw because they should have progressed from the glue? I don't know...

    From the translated version I think they simply said that they couldn't continue taking the lid apart because it's held together with glue and they wouldn't be able to put it back together. I don't think they implied that it was lower quality because of the glue or that Lenovo was taking a shortcut by using glue.

    One that struck me as odd was that there was a piece of tape on the heatpipe which looked like it was used to hold the pipe to the base.
