    Hi,

Ive had quite a few PM's from people inquiring about my WWAN upgrade to my T61 and in particular the location of the SIM card slot.

The SIM card slot is located under the battery but I thought pictures might help.

So for all those who want to know heres some pics.

First off, thank you for making these available! Saves like a thousand questions ;)

Second - you type it is an "upgrade" Am I right to assume one could actually buy this module SEPARATELY from an original T61 and (eventually) install it alone? If so, could you be so kind and share ideas how I could buy one? My current PCMCIA GlobeTrotter is driving me crazy... :D

to get the whole WWAN setup you'll need the sim card slot, the WLAN/WWAN antennas and the WWAN card itself. All of these can be bought from the Lenovo spare parts division in your country. You'll need the FRU's which are in the hardware manual.

the sim card slot installation is relatively easy but the antennas are a bit more complex.
