Any owners that have a T61, can you comment on the way the screen case material feels. Does it feel like cheap plastic or what? Additionally, what is the flex like in the screen? Thanks!

The outside feels like a hard plastic with a nice soft velvet feel to it. Very hard to describe. The inside bezel around the screen feels like the plastic used on the rest of the notebook.
There is very little flex in my screen and the hinges are nice and tight (we will see how they hold up over time, but now they are great!). -
How about when you tap it? Does it sound plasticky lol? Overall, are you impressed with the build quality, just want to know because Im waiting for mine in my sig to arrive!

Pretty much like Grentz said. It's a hard plastic and not too much flex. The hinges are indeed very tight and feel secure. I think the build quality is great.

Anyone else?

One other thing I can add, the screen case has like a rubber-ish type texture to it on the sides and back (but not the front where you view the screen). Almost as if it has a light coating of rubber, but still feels like plastic at the same time. It seems it can be scratched if you try to, unlike the other plastic on the main body.

So is it basically the same lid as on my current T42?
