I have Lenovo/Thinkpad T61 with 4GB memory running Vista. I recently noticed when I ran Diskeeper that the volume named "ServiceV002 {aa00..." was flagged as being in Critical condition because the free space is very low (5%). It's capacity is 6.4GB and the free space is now at 369MB.
    a) Is there a way of "freeing" up space on this volume or as an alternative, increasing its size? It's not my first choice to increase its size but if that's the only option I have, I'll do it.
    b) How would I go about freeing up space or increasing its size? I have no clue.

Thanks for any insights you can provide.

PS: What is this volume used for anyway?

Looks like the recovery partition, which you shouldn't need more space.
