    Hi everyone,

I ordered my Thinkpad on the 12th, and changed my order 3 days ago (talked to a sales rep who adjusted my order). Heres my problem, The estimated ship date went from the 31st of this month to the 28th of AUGUST. Now, my computer was already in the factory, so I can understand having to go to the end of the queue again, but over 3 months? That sounds a bit ridiculous, even if a part is out of stock. Also, I have a quote for the same laptop ($200 cheaper). I talked to Lenovo and they said I could get a price adjustment just as soon as the laptop ships. Heres the problem. The quote expires on the 20th of August, and my computer is supposed to ship on the 28th of August. I don't want to lose $200, and I need my laptop before school starts up again. Are any of you waiting this long for your laptop? If not, is there anything I can do (anyone I can talk to) to bring this time down. It just seems like there must be a problem if I'm waiting in excess of three months for a laptop.

    EDIT:
I just tried configuring the same system again, and the estimated ship date is on the 6th of next month...

I think everyone who ordered/updated a system in the past few days is having this problem. I can't imagine this is accurate, but only time will tell.

EDIT: The June 6th date is temporary. As soon as you complete the transaction it will switch the estimated shipping date to August 28th (or later).

Do you know if anyone has talked to a service rep about this yet? (sorry if this was already asked in another post).

There have been reports that this is a problem of Lenovo's system and they are working on correcting it. So just keep your finger crossed and everything should be fine.

As I talked to them, they said any change made in well advance should delay the order 3-4 days. So that August since must be nonsense. Hopefully

I ordered one and got the same shipping date. I called and they told me that it's an error the computer made, and I should get it in two or three weeks. Also said that I can call to see what's the status on my order, although I doubt they will have more information than the website.
