T61 Shipped but...

Got an email the other day saying

then my order number.

The email states:

I click on the order status link and there are no tracking numbers anywhere.

Attached at the bottom are 3 PDFs w/ warranty info.

Any ideas?

 

P.S. I placed this t61 15.4" last Thursday night w/ an advanced mini dock and extra power cable. My ship date is 6/19 for the thinkpad. Perhaps it is one of those that has shipped but it says that the estimated shipping date for the dock and ac power supply is 6/19 and 6/21 respectively.

I have already recieved my compujack package. and yet my shipping date for it was pushed back by 7 days. so it was soposed to ship today and i got it about 2 weeks ago. so you will problobly get your mini dock. and then just wait for your laptop forevor...

Maybe Lenovo decided to cheer up its customers that bought laptops in May (but haven't shipped) by sending fake "Your laptop has shipped!" emails to people that just ordered theirs?

Sounds like something Lenovo would do.

You might check back later - often you will get the shipping announcement but they won't have the actual shipping number until later. If it still doesn't show up sometime soon though, just contact Lenovo and ask for it.

 

I received two of those emails today too. But my estimated ship date was 6/21, and I only ordered on 6/2. I did not order anything else besides the T61, and that was also w/ EPP. I'm not sure what is going on, but I will see tomorrow morning when and if they update it with my shipping info (I also had the 2 day UPS shipping, but I doubt that expedites your order).

 

I just checked my shipping status and the Track Shipment has been updated with a link directed to UPS tracking. Shows delivery of a 3.8 kgs package to San Diego from Hong Kong for 6/8.

 

You are lucky! I ordered on June 1 and the estimated shipping date is June 20. So far I haven't received anything from Lenovo.

I ordered on the web last Friday 6/1, received an expected shipped date of 6/20 and then it shipped 6/6. Already in Louisville. UPS says delivery 6/13.
T61 with 2.0 processor, Vista business, 14.1 W+ screen, no camera, 2G RAM, 100 G 7200 RPM HDD, basically the whole schmear. Not EPP Meyer.

Of course it was my second order. I ordered, in early May, a more fully loaded T61 machine ...3G RAM, WWAN... and had a ship date of 5/29 turn into 8/30. I cancelled since I need the machine this month. Then I saw the sale.

So Lenovo lost some money with their 8/30 screwup. Like the rest of you, I believe it could have been solved with a more honest email to the victims.

The good news.. the machines are starting to move.
