    T61 Sound Display Gone

    I have a sound issue on my T61. The visual display has disappeared. The sound buttons still seem to work, except the on/off button turns the sound off bit not back on. To turn the sound back on, the "up" button does the trick. How can I get the visual display back?

    OSDs are controlled by the hotkey driver. If you're running Vista you'll need the System Interface driver as well.

    I re-installed the Hotkey driver and the OSD returned.

    The OSD continues to disappear. I have re-installed it twice. Also, my anti-virus pgm, F-Prot, has disappeared. Norton Internet Security is in place, and SpyBot 1.6.2 gives a clean bill of health. Any suggestions on what might be going on or what to do next?
