You need a Quadro 570 for developing web apps?

ocellaris: I don't really know much about hardware. I just went with that one. Is that overkill?

For web development, yes it is overkill. Its more of a 3D rendering app card (or for gaming). Then again if it is within your budget, its always nice to have. The only downside will be the loss of runtime.

Why don't you just buy Memory from some other site?? saves you like $200 I think if you find a good deal on a nicely priced 2 Gig memory

I agree with Jovenes. Change it to 1 1GB stick and order 4 or so GB from crucial or something.

I'm a web developer myself and I have a T61. Honestly I'd rather trade my Nvidia 140m in for the X3100 for extra battery life now... You don't need the graphics card...

Your configuration is a lot like mine, and I would agree that for web development that configuration is major overkill.
