I have had many issues with vista. Especially coming back from hibernate. I would get to the login screen, and then the screen blacks out. The only method I have to come back is to just take out the battery and do a normal start up.

Anyways today, my computer wouldn't come back from hibernate. When i try to restart the computer. My Documents opens up full size right away. and the desktop + windows bar is missing. The only solution I have found is pulling up the task manager and manually starting the explorer task again.

Anyways I really hate vista right now. I have gone into msconfig and messed around. started up in safe mode. everything. just nothing works. Even now. in my lower right corner bar thing. when i mouse over the network status it says " connection status: unknown" even though I'm obviously connected to the internet right now.

Anyone have any ideas? should I just reformat...

I have t61 14 inch wide. vista home premium.

Does anyone know how to place explorer into my startup again?
