    Hey everyone,

I know there was a few of us that couldn't figure out how the heck to get the Webcam up and running in Vista. All I did was run the following "Integrated Camera Software"that was listed only under the XP drivers:

    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-67775

After running setup, the software said it installed successfully, and Vista detected the camera and installed the driver. The camera then showed under my Device manager. I tested it under Windows Messenger Live and I officially conformed it worked! WooHoo!

Hope this helps! Im hoping this will work fine until they release some Vista specific drivers.

I just wanted to clarify...though this driver is for XP..you installed it successfully on your vista system? Reason why I'm asking is because I have dealt with enough bsod's and freezes and finally was able to get my system stable after days of headaches; I don't want to mess that up =)

also the ibm site states software? is this some sort of webcam utility? or just a driver? Thanks

I have a Z61t Lenovo, it came with XP, I loaded Vista with Z61t recovery cd's and everything apart from the integrated Camera, I have installed the Lenovo Vista Integrated camera updated driver, and the T61 drive by mistake, I folled the instructions to the letter, my PC even says driver installed successfully, but still no camera. Can anyone give a new angle to try? Please

Open up My Computer and double click on Integrated Camera.

yea it's weird. I don't get anything when I type in integrated camera in the search field. The only reason why I know my camera is working is because i installed this software called YAWCAM and I've used it for video chat via aim. Other than those 2 programs, I don't know how else to access my camera to use it as a mirror!

vista doesn't have a camera utility; kind of weird and lame. The only way to try the camera is in skype or windows live or yahoo, or to use a 3d party software; but I thought that was what YAWCAM was, so can you launch that and see yourself there?

there is no way to access it without using a 3rd party program
