I wanted to use skype to talk to my sister so I signed up but when I did the video check it said the camera could not be found. I thought it was the drivers or something so I reinstalled them (twice) but it didn't help.. Well I pass the skype video test but it's just a blank screen. I researched solutions to this adn one required finding the camera in imaging devices in device manager but... turns out I don't even HAVE that tab. It doesn't exist. Any help would be SO appreciated. Also when I use Snap (like photobooth but for pcs) it says camera can not be found. The camera has worked before so I don't know what's happening :(

I had a problem with Skype like you mention when I first signed up. The solution for me was to find, and install this old Skype version: 3.1.0.152

This version worked fine on my computer. For some reason, my brother-in-law had the same problem (we both had the same A31 Thinkpads, and Logitech 5000 series cameras), so I don't know what the issue was, WE also had to put this version 3.1.0.152 Skype on his computer too. I haven't tried Skype on my T61p yet, since I just got it a couple weeks ago.

I'm not sure if this will fix YOUR issue or not, but you could try it. I found that build by searching for it on this site: http://www.filehippo.com/ but that was a long time ago, I am not sure if they still keep it on there. If they don't, I have a copy of it on my web-server. If you need it, I could temporarily put it into a public folder and give you a URL to download it if you need. Try Googling for it too. But let me know if you can't find it
