    T61 and 1 gig of RAM?

    Do a lot of the T series come with just one gig of RAM? I have been looking at NewEgg and have seen a high percentage of their T61 with just 1 gig.
    Is this something NewEgg is doing to try offer it a lower price, or is this a common situation for pre-configured T61 lappies? :confused:

    I don't think NewEgg has much say in what is offered. Memory is very easy to upgrade.

    You can ditch the 1G and buy 4G from NewEgg for $65.

    I believe NewEgg did that because it's cheaper for people to buy the RAM separately than getting directly from Lenovo's package.

    Just buy from newegg. I would recommend 2x 2Gb sticks.

    Every T60 and T61 I've ordered (we buy direct from Lenovo) and that's around a dozen T60s and 3 T61s, I have had to order an extra 1GB stick of memory for. I think 1GB is probably just the base for those models.
