I'm about to purchase a T61. I went through my employer's purchasing system, which redirects to Lenovo and there I can see/configure notebooks. First (pleasant) surprise was that I was able to configure a T61 with non-widescreen, while I have only seen widescreen when I go to the regular Lenovo page. For batteries, I get the choice between a 6 and 9 cell battery. But as far as I understand, the T61 batteries come in 4/6/7 cells. So now I'm confused. Anyone know if maybe the non-widescreen T61 have the other type of batteries? Or does that not make sense and I am somehow able to configure a nonsensical system?
Here are the some of the specs of the model system I was able to configure:
8895CTO ThinkPad T61 - 3 Yr Depot Warranty
Processor IntelĀ® Core 2 Duo T7700 (2.4GHz 800MHz 4MBL2)
Display type 14.1 SXGA+ TFT
System graphics Intel GMA X3100 GM965 w/o WWAN
Battery 6 cell Li-Ion Battery
Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!

14" Widescreen T61s have a 4, 6, 7 cell battery. (Similar to z61)
The 4:3 aspect T61 and 15.4" T61s have a 6 cell and 9 cell battery, with the 6 cell flush with the case. (Similar to T60) -
Yes exactly, you just dont really hear much about the 4:3 t61's since most of us dont have the ability to order them.
T61 and 6/9 cell battery? I'm confused...
