    I'm about to purchase a T61 (15.4 1680x 1050, NV140M) and an 'Advanced Dock'. A few questions:

    • Can I run the internal screen simultaneously with my external 24" monitor (1920x1200)?
    • Can I plug another screen into the VGA port on the dock (assuming the 24" screen is plugged into the DVI port on the dock) and run both external screens simultaneously?
    • Can I run both external screens and the internal screen simultaneously?

i used to do that, not such great resolution, but a decent one... you can use laptop screen only, external screen, both together, but i am not so sure about 2 external screens working at the same time...the easiest way to do it is to try it out. ask guys in the shop to do it for you there, or ask for the refund policy and try it out as soon as you get home.

To answer your 3 questions, Shandy1948:

    Yes you can.

Sure thing. I do this now with 2x 1920x1200 Dell LCDs.

Nope. The Laptop has only 2 output channels.

Yep, two 20"(or are they 19? Shrug... It's work's stuff anyway) 1920x1200 screens. Having... err wait, I'm lying... 1600x1200. Whoops. Major brain fart, ehh? Still 3200x1200 kicks major tail.
