I have a T61 with the Ricoh 4 in 1 reader, and I noticed that a Kingston 4GB SDHC class 6 card is recognized when I boot up or the first time I put it in after a boot up. However, once I remove it, and put it back in I hear the insert sound, and in "Safely Remove Hardware" I see it pop up but then disappear and in Device Manager under SD Card, there is an exclamation mark. The card is not recognized. What is wrong here? I am using Vista Home Premium (original).

    1. Is your Vista upgraded to SP1? If not, do so.

    2. If it is, then you may need this Hotfix.

Looks like installing SP1 helped. So far everytime I put it in, it has been detected.
