Merom's about to hit the shelves and of course there's the question when lenovo starts putting them in thinkpads and whether to wait it out or not. (Or wait until they're released and buy a discounted T60 ... and probably replace the Yonah with a Merom myself if I ever feel like it.)

Core 2 Duo would be definitely nice to have, but I don't have to have one. The question that irks me even more is whether they might offer a T61 with a 14.1" flexview. Just seeing that this won't happen a couple of month after I buy the heavier 15" would make me feel a lot better.

So, is anybody out there who has some info when the next thinkpads might be released? (I'm aware that this is a lot like reading tea leaves)

Btw, does anybody know the EPP pricing for the 2007C7U?

core duo was released in the first week of jan right? when did IBM release the t60? after x weeks? if you get the answer to that then that could be the best possible answer for your merom question.

I initially figured that much. But there are also rumors out there that it might not be until the second quarter of 2007.
