    Hello All,

My T61 which was ordered last monday arrived today. It is not warranted outside the States, so I am returning it. I have been on the phone for approximately 1 hr to get an RMA number. Now does any body know of a way to buy international warranty on this machine(T61 type 6465). This type is listed on the international warranty service section as " international warranty not available for this model". Does any body know whether lenovo(or IBM) changes the warranty status over time(may be this is a new model?)

    Thanks
    Ahmed

That isn't even slightly true. Dell, among many other companies, offers an international warranty at additional cost.

Maybe you should do some research before you throwing out the word "stupid."

If you have insurance with a US company, some like State Farm offer riders which are separate from your homeowner's policy...if you have one, that will cover laptops, jewelery and such. I have an additional policy like this and it covers just about everything from theft to hitting the floor too hard. Its an added expense, but it may come in handy.
