Hi,
I have a T61 15.4" widescreen and I want to buy a second T61 with 14.1" standard screen. I am wondering if the two extra 9-cell batteries I have for my W15.4" T61 would also fit the new 14.1" T61.
Thanks for any advice.

The 14.1" T61 features a 7-cell battery as the maximum, just so you know. -
Actually, when I create a configuration to purchase, Lenovo present an option to upgrade the default 6-cell battery to a 9-cell one. Here's the summary of the configuration I created copied right from the shopping cart:
Intel® Core 2 Duo processor T9300 (2.5GHz 800MHz 6MBL2)[1]
Genuine Windows XP Professional[12]
14.1 SXGA+ TFT
NVIDIA Quadro FX 570M (128MB Open GL)
3 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz SODIMM Memory (2 DIMM)[8]
UltraNav (TrackPoint and TouchPad) with Fingerprint Reader
160GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm[4]
DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer, Ultrabay Slim[5]
Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (supporting Centrino Pro)[10]
9 cell Li-Ion Battery
So unless they sell you 9 cell but then send you 7 cell, it seems like they offer it. -
The FRUs on the Lenovo site match up (taken from here for the standard 14.1" and here for the 15.4"), so I'm going to say yes, they can be used interchangeable.
Sorry for the earlier confusion. -
Thanks a lot, chubbyfatazn. I called Lenovo support again and they confirmed that the batteries will be interchangeable.
