Anyone know how to fix this?!
-
Did you terminate any processes via Task Manager? This blue screen is a shutdown to protect the integrity of the data on the machine.
If you installed any drivers or software recently try removing those. -
One question, which logo do you have ctimk?
-
on the thinkpad? IBM?
-
the tricolor classic one?
-
Yes the tricolor classic one
-
What does the logo have to do with the bugcheck?
-
Okay I think I might know why it happened.
-
Prob. happened when I closed the lid without shutting down the laptop first.
-
-
I haven't used my laptop today. I'll see if I still get the blue screen.
-
Uh okay I got the blue screen again. And I didn't close the lid. I just turned it on..and then..like 8 mins later got the the blue screen. Anyone know why this is happening?! I just got my laptop like 2 days ago and I didn't download anything.
-
Will someone please help me?
-
I think it only happens when I don't have the ac adapter plugged.
-
I get this after I start up the computer again.
Files that help describe the problem:
C:\windows\minidump\mini06907-02.dmp
c\User\Tim\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-245202-0.sydata.xml
c:\Users\Tim\AppData\Local\Temp\WERA4C6.tmp.version.txt -
It might be a driver issue.
I was having a lot of BSOD like the one you are describing (on my desktop) and it happened to be because one of my drivers was messed up. -
Well this sucks.. a new computer too..so what do i do?
-
read through these threads, they might help you. You can do more thorough reading on both of these forums to see other T61 BSOD related threads

After many headbaning hours I have fixed this problem. It is a wireless LAN card driver problem (looks like an interrupt conflict). It is best to go ahead and update *all* drivers and BIOS on your machine with the new automated updater from Lenovo. Just make sure you get the Intel Pro Wireless driver updated (mine didn't update on the initial download, had to update twice).
1. If you don't already have it, download and install .NET 2.0 from Microsoft
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...CB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en
2. Get the ThinkVantage System Updater
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/TVSU-UPDATE.html#DLP
3. Install the updater. It will show up under ThinkVantage in your Start->All Programs menu.
4. Launch the ThinkVantage System Update program.
5. Get new updates.
6. Select *all* on each tab.
7. Download the selected drivers. This may be about 260MB and take 30-60 minutes! It's worth it tho.
8. The updater will automatically update most drivers. Curiously, the *specific* driver I needed to update did not download on the first attempted update. I had to re-do the update process a second time selecting *only* the Intel wireless driver. The second time it *did* install correctly.
9. Note that you may have also selected the BIOS update. You'll be prompted with a BIOS update screen during one of your re-starts. Follow the directions carefully and keep your power cord connected.
Once you have updated all drivers and the Intel wireless driver you should not get the blue screen again!!!!
I hope you have as good of luck as I did on this update.!
Enjoy! -
Man I have had my x61 for a week and a half and have been getting that blue screen frequently along with not responding programs. If your recomendation here solves it I will be a very very grateful person

hey buddy that is from the turbo memory

I had s imilar problem when I got my T43 with WinXP. All of a sudden I was getting 1-2 BSODs a day, apparently at random. I was on the verge of sending it back to IBM and accidently ended up doing a full system restore... reinstalled the OS using the factory image in the hidden partition. It solved the problem, whatever it was. I still have that EZServ box!
So as a last resort I'd try a full restore... it's a PITA as far as having to reinstall all your own software but it might work. -

I think part of the confusion is the range of "trim" in the T61 family and the range of possible OSes (seems like SATA weighs in here too).
I've got a T61, Intel 965 Mobile graphic chipset, has the 1394 Firewire, running XP. Thinkpad logo, not an IBM logo.
I get BSOD when I have an active wireless connection - but, it seems mostly isolated to when I have a Cisco VPN connectio and have Exchange open (which is often, coincidently, when I am on battery power as well).
Description:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000000a (0x00000016, 0x0000001c, 0x00000000, 0x804fa246). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini052808-02.dmp.
I've been fighting with this since I got the notebook. I've had great luck with ThinkPad's in the past (my last before this was a T21 when it was their hottest new model).
Any suggestions?
