This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    T61 card reader not working at all

    EDIT: Nevermind, for some reason it was disabled in the BIOS.

    I have a 14" T61 with the Ricoh 4-in-1 card reader, and I've used many different builds of Windows 7, and none of them even recognized the reader in Device Manager. I've installed both the Vista 64-bit drivers and the beta Windows 7 drivers and neither do anything. The light doesn't come on no matter what, but the Ricoh-controlled PC Card slot works fine (although slow). Any idea what's happening and what I could do? Thanks
