    T61 clear plate fell off!

    My T61 small oval clear plate (the indicator icon sticker on the top back of the lid) fell off when I was carrying the laptop. Is this covered under warranty?

    I would call Lenovo and ask them for some stickers. If they will not give you some, you could find the (front & back) clear plates on eBay. I bought some stickers from a seller named waznr.

    Perhaps you want to upgrade your T61 with a T61p clear plate? ;)

    My T61 plate is the very very short one with jus enuf space for the 3 icons - battery, plug, and moon. The T61 back plate you linked to is too long (it has an extra blank space).

    I browsed Waznr's store. It seems he has the plate but it is listed under Thinkpad R61. Does the R61 and T61 have the same size plate?

    I called Lenovo and they are willing to pass me the indicator sticker, however the onsite engineer was having a hard time finding the right part. It seems the part no. listed on the Lenovo website is a bit too long. It has an additional blank space next to the battery icon.

    He told me he would try the R61 oval indicator plate for the lid. Does anyone know if this part will fit (i.e are R61 and T61 clear plates of the same width)? As mentioned, my T61 has the short version of that oval plate.
